Mundesley Hospital (the former Diana Hospital) is a Grade 2 listed building mostly timber framed with decorative external features.

Our contract incorporates the Design & Build to upgrade the building to conform to the latest building regulations.

Project Overview

We have been working with the architect and design team to upgrade the hospital so that it can be re-opened as a hospital, providing various services within the health care sector.

Our works include a total internal and external refurbishment. Externally, we are stripping back the timber facade to inspect the sub frame and to repair and re-new the external cladding. Several new windows have been manufactured to the exact detail of the existing windows in order to ensure that the original state is duplicated.

The work is ongoing and we completed the first phase of the project in early March 2015.

There are a further four phases of this contract to complete in order to restore the grounds and surrounding buildings to their formal glory.

Work on the project

We are adding a section onto the building, which will incorporate a new lift. This will prove to be greatly beneficial with regards to the future running of the building an ease of navigation.

The external timber facade has received a complete re-decoration to ensure that it is protected for many years to come.

Internally, we have carried out the complete re-design of the internal drainage system and installed en-suite bathrooms into all of the 33 bedrooms. We have also installed communal bath and shower areas.

We are upgrading the heating and electrical installations to gain high efficiency.
