A small kitchen extension, including an office space, toilet area and storage cupboards. Various internal alterations including a large fire roller shutter door.

How we undertook the project

The works were required to extend the schools existing kitchen facilities, including for office, toilet & storage space.

M&E was complex & tricky to ensure adequate coordination between contractors & the installation of components.

Cromer Academy reported that the NCL team both on & off site, were very professional, helpful & applied themselves well to the school environment.

NCL worked well with the academy & formed lasting relationships. We hope to work with the school on future projects they may have.

What was involved

The extension comprised of a traditional brick and block structure, incorporating large ceiling rafters & bauder roof..

Internal works included a new concrete slab, demolishing existing openings and installing new walls & openings.

M&E was key to this project. A specially designed kitchen extraction system was installed, with a stainless-steel canopy including ductwork & mechanical equipment on the roof above.

All external & internal finishes were completed to a high standard, especially the kitchen and canteen area. These areas in particular, had to meet strict food hygiene regulations.
