Having made the decision to invest in the upgrade and refurbishment of the 1960’s swimming facilities the School and Chaplin Farrant approached NCL Contractors to work alongside them to produce a robust Cost Plan and Programme to ensure that the delivery was on time and in budget
The school aspiration was for a modern-day spa feel to accommodate both education and 3rd party lets to the facility.
Through Chaplin Farrant’s clever design and choice of finishes and NCL Contractors construction skills and specialist subcontractor relationships from the time you enter the reception to dipping a toe into the pool the facility is light, bright and atmospheric.
Working in a live school environment took all the Site Teams planning and organisational skills to ensure that the core purpose of the site of Education was not interrupted during the work.
Completing the demolition, extension and re-build to a tight programme NCL Contractors completed the structure in under 12 weeks ensuring sufficient time was allowed for quality finishes.
As part of the scheme NCL undertook the re-lining, tiling and system upgrade of the Swimming Pool itself. Intimate understanding of temperatures and chemical levels suitable for all age ranges had to be interrogated an understood to ensure the facility was available for any type of let.
